Product DescriptionInductive Power Frequency AC Resonant Test SystemDescriptionCylinder modular type power frequency HV AC resonant test systems are designed to compensate capacitance in testing circuit precisely by adjusting inductance of HV reactors, and output continuous AC voltage of power frequency (50/60Hz), mainly for factory testing of high and ultra-high voltage cables, power transformers, GIS, etc. They use resonance between capacitive test object and inductive HV reactor of test system, adjust inductance of HV reactor to form a series resonant circuit with test load, resulting in an ideal sinusoidal resonance voltage. The natural resonance frequency of test circuit is matched to feed-in mains frequency 50/60 Hz by tuning inductance of HV reactor. The oil-cooled HV reactor is installed in a closed container made of steel and insulating cylinders. The module setup enables you to connect the reactors in series or in parallel for extending the range of voltage and/or current. The individual modules can be installed above or next to one another. As part of a series resonant circuit, these systems provide undistorted high voltage. And because the systems are designed to have high quality factor (Q), low input power is required (1/Q) which results in lower installation and operating costs.ApplicationThe inductive series resonant test device with power frequency is mainly used for AC withstand voltage test and partial discharge test of SF6 circuit breakers, GIS combined appliances, capacitive transformers, converter transformers, power cables, cable accessories and other large-capacity power equipment with voltage levels below 1000kV. With a suitable tuning inductor, it can resonate at a specified frequency and can be used as power frequency test equipment.Main application:1. For routine testing of high and ultra-high voltage cables up to 800 kV in accordance with IEC 60840 and IEC 62067.2. For inspection testing of high and ultra-high voltage cables and cable assemblies up to 1600 kV in accordance with IEC 60840 and IEC 62067.3. For applied voltage testing of power transformers up to 1600 kV in accordance with IEC 60076.4. For testing of gas-insulated switchgears up to 1600 kV in accordance with IEC 62271-203.5. For testing of voltage transformer including testing with higher frequencies and performing dynamic tests up to 1600 kV in accordance with IEC 60044.FeaturesThe main advantage of resonant test systems is the low power demand, because only the losses in the test circuit must be replaced from the power supply. A resonant test system is remarkably lighter, cheaper and more economic than an AC transformer test system and should be applied if the test objects are capacitive. In case of a disruptive discharge the test object is not destroyed, because the system goes out of resonance. In addition, due to their precise sine wave, series resonant test systems are well suited for HVAC tests with PD and tan delta measurements. 1. Low power demand due to high quality factor2.
