Product Description The Medical-Grade 304 / 304V Stainless Steel D-Type Mandrel with Parylene Coating is specifically engineered for use in catheter extrusion, multi-lumen forming, and balloon tubing support in interventional medical device manufacturing. Constructed from AISI 304 or vacuum-melted 304V stainless steel, this mandrel offers high mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility.The D-shaped cross-section provides anti-rotation functionality and controlled flatness during catheter shaft extrusion or tip forming. The surface is coated with Parylene C or N, offering a pin-hole free, ultra-thin, low-friction and biocompatible layer for easy tube release and enhanced process repeatability.This mandrel is ultrasonically cleaned, deburring-finished, and vacuum-packaged, ready for ISO class cleanroom use.
