Product Description 1: Brief Introduction Of 7075 Aluminium/Aluminum Alloy Pipe/Tube The 7075 aluminum plate is a very strong grade of metal. It is well-known for its toughness, which is why it's frequentlyused in aerospace and aviation applications. It has excellent weight-to-strength ration, making it ideal for highly stressedparts. When in the annealed condition, forming can be performed, which should be followed by heat treatment. 7075aluminum is considered to be strong for aluminum. While forming this alloy, it has greater springback. If forming this metalwhile in the annealed condition becomes difficult, it can be placed in heat between 200 and 250 degrees F to soften it.To make this alloy have high-strength capabilities, heat treating can be used. It also has excellent properties when in lowtemperatures. The conductivity to electricity of this metal is 36 percent of copper. The strength measurements of this metal are as follows: 83,000 psi tensile strength, 48,000 psi shear strength and 73,000psi shear strength. Due to this metal's excellent ratio for weight-to-strength, it can be used in applications involvingstructural parts that are highly stressed. High stress applications that frequently use this grade of aluminum includeaircraft fittings, missile parts, regulating valve parts, meter gears, fuse parts, worm gears and keys. It's a popularchoice for use in applications in commercial aircraft components and aerospace and defense equipment. The plasticsindustry also uses this alloy as a mold material. The weldability of this metal is low, but the formability is great. When forgingis used, it's required that the alloy be placed in temperatures between 700 and 900 degrees F. Afterwards, solutionheat treatment should be used.Mechanical properties:The mechanical properties of 7075 depend greatly on the temper of the material.7075-OUn-heat-treated 7075 (7075-O temper) has maximum tensile strength no more than 280 MPa (40,000 psi), and maximumyield strength no more than 140 MPa (21,000 psi). The material has an elongation (stretch before ultimate failure) of9-10%. It is very highly corrosion-resistant and has good strength.7075-T6T6 temper 7075 has an ultimate tensile strength of 510-540 MPa (74,000-78,000 psi) and yield strength of at least430-480 MPa (63,000-69,000 psi). It has a failure elongation of 5-11%.The T6 temper is usually achieved by homogenizing the cast 7075 at 450°C for several hours, quenching, and thenaging at 120 °C for 24 hours. This yields the peak strength of the 7075 alloy. The strength is derived mainly from finelydispersed eta and eta' precipitates both within grains and along grain boundaries.7075-T651T651 temper 7075 has an ultimate tensile strength of 570 MPa (83,000 psi) and yield strength of 500 MPa(73,000 psi). It has a failure elongation of 3-9%. These properties can change depending on the form of materialused. Thicker plate may exhibit lower strengths and elongation than the numbers listed above.7075-T7T7 temper has an ultimate tensile strength of 505 MPa (73,200 psi) and a yield strength of 435 MPa (63,100 psi). Ithas a failure elongation of 13%.T7 temper is achieved by overaging (meaning aging past the peak hardness) the material. This is often accomplished by aging at 100-120 °C for several hours and then at 160-180 °C for 24 hours or more. TheT7 temper produces a micro-structure of mostly eta precipitates. In contrast to the T6 temper, these eta particlesare much larger and prefer growth along the grain boundaries. This reduces the susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking.T7 temper is equivalent to T73 temper.Due to its high strength, low density, thermal properties, and its ability to be highly polished, 7075 is widely used inmold tool manufacturing. This alloy has been further refined into other 7000 series alloys for this application, namely 7050 and 7020.2:Chemical Composition The aluminum industry has created a system using a four-digit numerical designation to identify wrought aluminumalloys. The first digit indicates the major alloying element. The second digit indicates whether there was a modificationin the basic alloy. The third and fourth digit indicates the specific alloy. The following represent the various groups:1XXXAluminum 99% or greater2XXXCopper - major alloying element3XXXManganese - major alloying element5XXXMagnesium - major alloying element6XXXMagnesium and silicon - major alloying elements7XXXZinc -major alloying elementAluminum Grades:1000 series: 1035,1040,1050,1060,1070,1080,1090,1098,1100,1230,1435,1260,1170,1275,1285,13852000 series: 2001,2002,2011,2014,2017,2117,2218,2519,2024,2224,2025,2030,2031,2036,2090,20913000 series: 3002,3003,3004,3103,3203,3303,3105,3006,3007,3107,3008,3009,3015,30165000 series: 5005,5205,5006,5010,5013,5014,5016,5017,5040,5043,5050,5150,5251,5351,5451,5052,5083 5352,5552,5254,5754,5856,5456,52836000 series: 6101,6201,6003,6103,6105,6205,6006,6106,6110,6061,6060,6063,6863,6081,6082,6162,68637000 series: 7001,7003,7005,7108,7129,7146,7050,7472,7075,7076,7277,7178,7278,7091,72778000 series: 8001,8004,8006,8011,8111,8014,8030,8130,8177,8079,8081,8280,8091Aluminum Temper:O,H12,H13,H14,H16,H18,H24,H32,H34,H19,H38,G36,F,H111,H112,H192,H392,H393,H321T1,T3,T4,T8,T72,T451,T42,T62,T5,T6,T36,T351,T651,T851,T3511,T913,T94,T7351,T89,T4510,T6510,T8510,T8511,T4511,T52,T5511,T6511,T54,T733: Aluminium/Aluminum Alloy Pipe/Tube Process 4:Aluminium/Aluminum Alloy Pipe /Tube Package 5: Company Introduction
