Product DescriptionProduct DescriptionGabions are wire mesh containers constructed from galfan coated/hot galvanized steel, filled with hard rock, stone or other materials. Gabions are made up from various sized panels which are formed up into a box. The panels are connected together with either spiral / helical wire or with C-Rings.Gabion walls are considered a gravity wall system. It depends on their own mass or weight to withstand pressures from behind the structure, in this case weight (rock) held within the gabion container. The containers are linked together when assembled which creates an individual structure. Once the gabions are linked the strength of the structure increases significantly. This allows the user to form walls for retaining land, eliminate erosion, control water speed, support river banks and many other applications.Weld Mesh Aperture (mm)G50×50, 75×75, 100×100, 50×100, etc.Galfan Coating MeasurementUpto 10% Aluminium & 90% Zinc.Minimum 5% Aluminium & 95% ZincWeld Mesh Tensile StrengthAverage 600-700 MpaExceeds International StandardsGabion Size(m)1×1×1, 2×1×1, 3×1×1, 0.5×0.5×0.5, 1×0.5×0.5, etc.Weld Mesh Surface TreatmentGalfan, Hot dipped galvanized, PVC coatedGalfan Coating DensityAverage 330 g/m2Minimum 275g/m2Gabion Panel ConnectivitySpiral Wire, C-Ring, U-clipWire Diameter(mm)3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, etc.Generally, stiffener length 300mm, spiral binder wire diameter 2-4mmAll sizes can customized according to your request.SpecificationAperture: The aperture is the distance from the centre of one wire to the centre of the next both horizontally and vertically. We are currently producing as standard products both 4mm and 5mm mesh in 75mm x 75mm aperture and 4mm in 100mm x 50mm aperture. 75mm x 75mm apertureThe most common size. When calculating cage sizes take into account that all lengths, widths and heights will be in increments of 75mm. Overall it is easier working with a square aperture than a 75mm x 75mm rectangular one, however a rectangular aperture can have a stunning look.100mm x 50mm apertureWhen calculating cage sizes take into account that lengths, widths will be usually be in increments of 100mm and heights 50mm. This is based upon it being more common for 100mm in the horizontal plane.Surface TreatmentGalfan coatedPVC coatedThe composition of 95% Zinc, 5% Aluminium and 0.05% mischmetal, improves the coating adhesion and enables an armour coating structure in micro-scale.Galfan coating features excellent corrosion resistance. This is why it can be used to achieve longer service life for steel materials, or to replace traditional zinc coating with a thinner Galfan coating, thereby offering improved weldability and formability properties.PVC coated gabion which incorporates a steel wire which is hot dipped galvanized followed by a coating of primer and then a fuse bonded, powder coated PVC. This is the maximum protection for a gabion and is superior to all others in severe environments where the gabion is in contact with salt water. AccessoriesSpiral connection:C rings connection: 1. Spirals are one method to connect panels to build a gabion cage.2. Spirals are the strongest connection method Spiral cage joiners are also supplied (larger diameter than standard spirals)1. This connection method requires a gabion C ringer tool (available for purchase)2. Tensile strength 1700.1900 N/m2 Mild steel coated Galfan 5% Al, 95% Zn3. 3mm diameter x 45mm(widest point)Stiffener (braces):U-clip:1. Stiffeners are placed in-side the cage to give cage rigidity.2. In addition to stiffenerswe offer lacing wire.1. Starting with the first aperture, place a clip and tighten using the pliers.Make the panels as square as possible before tightening.2. Continue all around, connecting every 150mm for 75x75mm, every 100mm for 100x50mm & 50x50mm.ApplicantionsProductionRaw Material – Galvanized WireWire StraighteningHigh-quality galvanized steel wire is chosen as the primary raw material for welded gabion mesh productionCoiled galvanized wire is fed into a CNC straightening and cutting machine, producing precise, uniform wire lengths ready for weldingAutomatic Welding – Welding the Wire into Mesh PanelsSpiral Wire Forming – Making Spiral Wire for Gabion ConnectionsThe prepared wires are fed into an automated welding machine, where high-power electric-resistance spot welding is performed at each intersection to form strong, precise mesh panelsFinally, galvanized wire is coiled into a continuous spiral using a wire coiling machine, creating the helical connectors used to assemble and secure the gabion panelsCompany Profile
