Preparation of acupoint platesSelecting 288 well seedling trays for cultivating 2-leaf one heart seedlings; For 3-leaf one heart seedlings, a 200 hole hole tray can be selected, while for 4-leaf one heart seedlings, a 128 hole tray can be selected. This can break the thermal dormancy characteristic of lettuce with a significant decrease in germination rate under 30 oC conditions, allowing it to germinate normally under high temperature conditions. 4. SowingThe planting amount for lettuce is generally 25 grams per mu, and the seedling age of lettuce varies greatly depending on the season. Sowing in summer and autumn from April to September, the seedling age is generally 20-25 days, with three leaves and one heart; Sowing from October to March of the following year, the seedling age is generally 30 days, with 4 leaves per heart. The sowing period is calculated forward based on the planting date.Lettuce seeds require light for germination, so the sowing depth should not exceed 0.5 cm, especially after being pelletized. The seeds themselves are already wrapped in a layer of pelletized powder, and sowing too deep can easily reduce the germination rate of the seeds. After sowing, cover with a thin layer of covering material. After watering, do not expose the seeds. The covering material is vermiculite: perlite=1:1. After the sowing and covering operation is completed, water the seedling tray thoroughly until water drips out from the bottom hole of the tray. Due to the water absorption of pelletized seeds and the scattering of their shells around the seeds, insufficient water can snatch up the water needed for seed germination. Therefore, during the seedling stage, the substrate should ensure a higher water content than conventional sowing, and the seedlings should be fully grown within 3-4 days.5. Nursery bed managementCave lettuce seedlings are prone to overgrowth, and attention should be paid to the management of water, temperature, light, and fertilizer.Water management: Keep the substrate at 75% humidity, water appropriately, and control water moderately before the true leaves are released.
