Product Description The Disc Chipper is mainly deal with( round logs, branches, bamboo, cotton stalks) into smaller and uniform wood chips, which is used as material in pulp & paper industry, biomass industry, fiber and particleboard plants, and also well suitable as fuel for high intensity burning in modern heating plants. The basic principle is as follows: a disc is vertically arranged, a cutting tool is arranged on the circumference of one side of the disc surface, and a main shaft is arranged at the center of the disc, so that the disc can rotate at high speed. Another conveyor belt, parallel to the main shaft, can transfer material to the circular periphery of the disc. The material is cut off by means of a cutter on the periphery of the disc.The speed of that conveyor belt and the rotational speed of the disc are adjustable, so the thickness of the slice is also adjustable. The dimension of chips which processed by disc chipper are usually determined by the number of knives and their setting, the disc rotating speed and the feeding speed, differing these parameters or removing one or more blades, adjusting the associated slot will help to control the final chip size.The disc chipper is not as energy-efficient as the drum-style design, but produces chips are of more uniform shape and size.
