This type of ice is soft, moldable, and has a large surface area, making it ideal for:1.Food preservation (seafood, meat, poultry, vegetables)2.Medical & laboratory cooling3.Concrete cooling (construction industry)4.Supermarket displays5.Chemical & pharmaceutical processesFlake ice has a temperature of around -5°C to -7°C and melts slowly due to its low water content.Working PrincipleWater is sprayed onto the chilled evaporator drum.A thin layer of ice forms on the drum's surface.The rotating drum brings the ice into contact with the scraper blade, which peels off the ice in flakes.The flakes fall into a storage bin, while the water is recirculated.The refrigeration cycle continues to maintain freezing temperatures.
