During a dredging cycle,the main spud is inserted into the soil for positioning,and then the relative movement between the spud and the dredger pontoon is achieved by the pushing device located between the spud carriage and the pontoon.Since the spud is fixed to the soil bottom,the dredger pontoon moves forward relative to the spud The dredging operation in fan shape is achieved by the operating the left and right swing winches and the anchor cables while the main spud is the rotation center.When the main spud is at the extreme end of the pontoon,the dredger can no longer move forward.
