Product Description Product Overview Valve BodyMaterial: Commonly made of plastic materials such as polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). PP has a relatively low cost and good chemical corrosion resistance; PVC is suitable for transporting general water, weak acid, and weak alkali solutions; CPVC has better temperature resistance than PVC and can work at slightly higher temperatures; PVDF features excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance, capable of handling harsh conditions like strong corrosion and high temperatures.Structure: Mostly of an integrated design to ensure overall strength and sealing performance. Common port connection methods include threaded type, facilitating quick installation for small-diameter pipelines; socket type, with enhanced sealing through welding; and flange type, suitable for large-diameter pipelines or scenarios requiring frequent disassembly and maintenance.BallMaterial: Matches the valve body material, usually plastic materials such as PP, PVC, and PVDF, with good wear resistance and chemical stability.Structure: A circular through-hole is provided on the ball. The valve is opened or closed by rotating the ball to control the flow of the medium. The surface of the ball undergoes precise processing to ensure close fitting with the valve seat for a good sealing effect.Valve SeatMaterial: Mostly made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or plastic of the same material as the valve body. The PTFE valve seat has a low friction coefficient, excellent chemical stability, and good sealing performance, effectively preventing medium leakage.Installation Method: Generally installed in an embedded manner on the valve body to ensure the reliability of the seal between the valve seat and the ball.Pneumatic ActuatorType: Divided into double-acting actuators and single-acting (spring-return) actuators. The double-acting actuator relies on compressed air to push the piston to open and close the valve; the single-acting actuator, when air supply fails, uses a spring to push the piston, making the valve automatically stay in a preset safe position (such as the closed state) to ensure system safety.Material: The shell is usually made of aluminum alloy and undergoes surface anti-corrosion treatment. Internal components such as pistons and seals are made of high-quality rubber and metal materials to ensure the stability and durability of the actuator.Working PrincipleWhen compressed air enters the air inlet of the pneumatic actuator, it pushes the piston or diaphragm inside the actuator to move. Through the connecting mechanism, it drives the valve stem to rotate, and then makes the ball rotate. When the through-hole of the ball is aligned with the axis of the pipeline, the valve opens, and the medium can pass smoothly; when the ball rotates 90° and the through-hole is perpendicular to the axis of the pipeline, the valve closes, blocking the flow of the medium. By controlling the on-off, pressure, and flow direction of the compressed air, precise control of the valve can be achieved.Performance characteristics Strong Corrosion Resistance: Has excellent corrosion resistance to most chemical media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, especially suitable for scenarios of transporting corrosive media in industries like chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and electroplating.Good Sealing Performance: The sealing design between the valve seat and the ball is excellent, and some products can reach a relatively high sealing level, effectively preventing medium leakage.Low Flow Resistance: The through-hole design of the ball enables low medium flow resistance when the valve is open, with low pressure loss, ensuring smooth passage of the medium.Convenient Operation: The pneumatic actuator has a fast response speed, allowing quick opening and closing of the valve for easy automatic control. By adjusting the pressure and flow of compressed air, proportional control of the valve can also be achieved.Light Weight: The plastic material makes the overall weight of the valve relatively light, facilitating installation, transportation, and maintenance, while also reducing the load on the pipeline system.Working Pressure and Temperature Range: The working pressure is generally low, with the PN value usually between 1.0 - 1.6MPa; the working temperature range varies with the material. PVC is generally 0 - 60°C, CPVC is 0 - 95°C, and PVDF can reach -40°C - 150°C.Application Fields Chemical Industry: Used for transporting various corrosive chemical liquids and gases, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide solution, and chlorine gas.
