Applied in starch, casein or milk-based coatings at 1-5% of the dry pigment weight, it enhances coating performance, water resistance and UV protection, and prevents cracking. In paper coating, it refines the properties of paper coatings. With the molecular formula Ca(C17H35COO)2, CAS number 1592-23-0 and HS code 29157090, it presents as a fine white emulsion with a solid content of 42±2%, viscosity ≤500 mPa.s at 25℃, a pH value of 9-12 in a 2% aqueous solution, and a density of 1.0-1.1 g/cm3 at 25℃.
