These kilns heat the raw material to precise temperatures ranging between 1200and 1350 degrees Celsius (2192 to 2460 degrees Fahrenheit). These elevated temperatures effectively eliminate excess moisture, extract all residual hydrocarbons, andtransform the crystalline structure of the coke. This results in a denser, more electrically conductive product. Within hours,the calcined petroleum coke is cooled from a scorching 1350 degrees Celsius to a manageable 200 degrees Celsius, making it safe for handling andready for transport.
