The purest form, titanium iodide, boasts impurity levels under 0.1%, exhibiting high plasticity despite low strength. Industrially pure titanium, with a remarkable 99.5% purity, measures a density of ρ=4.5g/cm3, a melting point of 1725oC, thermal conductivity of λ=15.24W/(m.K), tensile strength σb=539MPa, elongation δ=25%, section shrinkage ψ=25%, elastic modulus E=1.078×105MPa, and hardness HB195.Advantages of Titanium Alloys Titanium alloys boast a multitude of compelling advantages that set them apart from other metallic materials, making them highly sought after in numerous applications:Titanium alloys are renowned for their remarkable strength-to-density ratio, offering exceptional tensile strength ranging from 100 to 140kgf/mm2, all while being significantly lighter, with only 60% of the density compared to steel. These unique alloys maintain outstanding strength even at medium temperatures, outperforming aluminum alloys. They retain the necessary strength at elevated temperatures, ensuring reliable performance over prolonged periods within the range of 450 ~ 500 °C.Titanium's corrosion resistance is truly exceptional, thanks to the formation of a uniform, dense oxide film on its surface, offering substantial protection against a variety of media. In both oxidizing and neutral environments, titanium exhibits impressive corrosion resistance, which is further enhanced in challenging environments such as seawater, wet chlorine gas, and chloride solutions. However, its performance is less effective in reducing environments like hydrochloric acid.Titanium alloys with minimal gap elements, like TA7, are celebrated for their excellent low-temperature performance, maintaining admirable plasticity even at an extreme -253°C.These alloys are distinguished by their low elastic modulus, minimal thermal conductivity, and non-ferromagnetic properties, making them versatile for varied applications.High Hardness is a standout feature of these alloys, contributing to their robust performance and longevity. While titanium alloys may present limited stamping capabilities, they excel in thermoplasticity, making them adaptable for diverse manufacturing processes. The heat treatment process of titanium alloys is highly adaptable, allowing for adjustments in phase composition and microstructure to achieve desired characteristics. Typically, a fine equiaxial structure endows the alloy with commendable plasticity, thermal stability, and fatigue strength. On the other hand, an acicular structure offers extraordinary enduring strength, creep strength, and fracture toughness. A harmonious blend of equiaxed and acicular structures ensures well-rounded properties, amalgamating the best of both worlds.Common heat treatment methods for titanium alloys include annealing, solution treatment, and aging. Annealing plays a crucial role in eliminating internal stress, enhancing plasticity, and stabilizing the structure to achieve superior comprehensive properties. For α and (α+β) alloys, the annealing temperature is typically set 120-200oC below the (α+β) -→ β phase transformation point. Solution and aging treatment involve rapid cooling from a high-temperature zone to form martensitic α 'phase and metastable β phase. These phases subsequently decompose in an intermediate temperature zone to form α phase or compounds and other minor dispersed second-phase particles, which strengthen the alloy. For (alpha + beta) alloys, quenching occurs 40-100oC below the alpha + beta) -- - > beta phase transition point, while metastable beta alloys quench 40-80oC above this point. The standard aging treatment temperature ranges from 450-550oC. Additionally, to meet specific workpiece requirements, the industry employs advanced processes such as double annealing, isothermal annealing, β heat treatment, deformation heat treatment, and other innovative metal heat treatment techniques.Product Parameter Product name TA7 titanium pipe/tubeMaterialTA0,TA1,TA2,TA3,TA4,TA5,TA6,TA7,TA9,TA10,TC1,TC2,TC3,TC4,TC6,TC11,GR1,GR2,GR3,GR5 Ti6AL4V ELI,Ti6AL7Nb,Ti13Nb13Zr,Ti1533SpecificationTitanium tube (jewelry special) specifications:ф20mm-ф28mm*(2mm,2.5mm,3mm), Thin-walled titanium tube:ф8*1.5, ф12*1, ф12.7*0.7, ф16*0.8, ф16*2, ф19*0.8, ф19*1, ф19*ф25*2, ф38*1 ,ф50*1 ,ф19*1.2, ф25*1.2Surface stateBlack surface, polished surface, polished surface (H11, H9, H8)StandardGB/T,GJB,AWS,ASTM,AMS,JISProduction technologyHot forging - Hot rolling - Annealing straightening - Polishing - Flat head - Inspection - packagingTypical usesOrdinary annealing state TC6 titanium alloy has good microstructure and property stability below 300oC/5000h, and high temperature properties such as instantaneous tensile, creep and durability at different temperatures are equivalent to double annealing and isothermal annealing state. Since the mid-1960s, their usage has expanded into general industry applications, including electrolytic industry electrodes, power station condensers, oil refining, seawater desalination heaters, and environmental pollution control devices. Titanium and its alloys have thus become essential as leading corrosion-resistant structural materials. Furthermore, they are also crucial in producing hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys, showcasing their diverse utility.China initiated research into titanium and its alloys in 1956, culminating in the industrial production of titanium materials by the mid-1960s and the development of the innovative TB2 alloy.
