Product Description Bentonite is a kind of clay of montmorillonite clay with a purity 96% plus.The structure of montmorillonite is a 2:1 type crystal structure composed of two silicon-oxygen tetrahedrons and a layer of aluminum-oxygen octahedron. There are some cations in the layered structure formed by the unit cell of montmorillonite. When the inter-layer cation is Na+, it is called sodium bentonite; when the inter-layer cation is Ca2+, it is called calcium bentonite; when the inter-layer cation is an organic cation, it is called organic bentonite. Application1. Casting: molding sand adhesive. Use calcium or sodium based bentonite.2. Metallurgy: Iron concentrate pellet binder. Use calcium or sodium based bentonite.3. Drilling mud: Prepare a drilling mud suspension with high rheological and thixotropic properties, as well as a drilling release agent. Using calcium based and sodium based bentonite, organic bentonite.4.
