Product Description Industrial Abrasive Brushes / Cylinder Honing Brushes for Bore FinishingProduct Description Our Abrasive Honing Brush is designed for mounting on honing heads to perform precision plateau honing and polishing of engine cylinder bores. Engineered with high-quality silicon carbide abrasive (320 grit), this brush is ideal for achieving the optimal surface finish required for superior engine performance and durability.Unlike fixed-diameter brushes that can't maintain consistent pressure, our honing brush ensures uniform pressure distribution, which is critical for producing a true plateau finish - the key to effective oil retention and reduced engine wear. During the honing process, microscopic "peaks" and "valleys" are created on the cylinder surface. The valleys hold oil, while the peaks are typically worn down during engine break-in. However, using our brush in conjunction with plateau honing tools, allows for controlled removal of these peaks during honing, leaving the debris in the machine rather than in your motor oil.Perfectly compatible with Sunnen honing systems, this brush is a reliable solution for automotive engine rebuilding, cylinder bore finishing, and other precision applications requiring plateau honing results.
