Product Description Product Description IntroductionINCOLOY alloys are super alloys having nickel as the base metal. INCOLOYS are composed of nickel-chromium-iron as the principal elements. Additives such as molybdenum, copper, and nitrogen are added in order to enhance the corrosion resistance and strength of these alloys. These alloys can function efficiently even at elevated temperatures.INCOLOY alloy 330 is an alloy comprising of nickel-iron-chromium with silicon as an additive. Using silicon as an additive gives the alloy enhanced oxidation resistance. This alloy exhibits good strength at high temperatures and good resistance to oxidation and reduction environments. The microstructure of the alloy maintains its stability even after being exposed to high temperatures for long durations. The standard forms in which the alloy is available are forging stock, pipe, tube, round bar, flat bar, hexagon and wire. This datasheet will look into the chemical composition, properties and applications of INCOLOY 330.CompositionThe chemical composition of stainless steel grade Incoloy 330 is outlined in the following table.NickelIronChromiumSiliconPhosphorusManganeseSulfurCarbon34.0-37.0Balance17.0-20.00.75-1.500.030max2.0max0.030max0.08maxGrade SpecificationGradeUNSDINENAMSASTMJISIncoloy 330N08330 1.4886AMS 5592ASTM B511- CharacteristicSmooth Weldability: Incoloy 330 can easily be welded with the help of conventional processes. Using shielded-metal based arc helps crave off the heavy sections.Hot/Cold Fabrication: The alloy 330 can easily be hot/cold fabricated with the use of standard stainless steel procedures.Heavy Machining: Incoloy 330 requires the use of high power for machining as compared to mild steel & needs to be performed with the help of techniques that reduce the work hardening.Carburization Resistance: The nickel & chromium content present in this alloy provides ample carburization & oxidation resistance.Physical Properties DensityMelting RangeSpecific HeatPermeabilityg/cm3lb/in3°F°CJ/kg.°C@ 200 oersteds8.080.2922520-25901380-14204601.02SpecificationsProduct FormStandardBars and shapesASTM B511Billets and barsASTM B512Seamless pipes and tubesASTM B535, B829Weld pipes and tubesASTM B546, B710, B739Plates, sheets and stripsASTM B536Welded fittingsASTM B366ForgingSAE AMS 5716 Possible Alternative Grades:Incoloy 25-6MO: This super-austenitic alloy houses 6 percent molybdenum & offers amazing resistance to corrosion that occurs in acidic or neutral environments.Incoloy 800H: Incoloy 800H consists of carbon content that ranges between 0.05 and 0.10 percent of the overall composition. It ensures better creep resistance & stress-rupture resistance.Incoloy 800: Popular for its use in condensation condition when kept in the ammonia-based acid mediums, the Incoloy 800 is used in water heaters, nuclear generators, or gas coolers.Incoloy 825: Incoloy 825 is highly resistant to stress-corrosion that comes from oxidation. It also provides resistance to deterioration from phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid.ApplicationsIndustrial heating furnacesPetrochemical furnace partsPerlite systems and equipmentBoiler fixturesGas turbine componentsHeat-treat furnace containersHigh temperature fansSalt pots Surface Treatment Processing Packaging & ShippingCompany ProfileFAQ
