The core steps are as follows: 1. Extrusion molding: * Driven by power, rollers (usually 2-4 grooved rollers) located above the flat die plate rotate around their axes while simultaneously rolling (or revolving) in a circular motion on the die plate. * A small, adjustable gap is maintained between the rollers and the die plate. * The rolling rollers forcefully press the material into the vertical holes in the die plate. * Under the powerful extrusion pressure and friction, the material is compressed and heated (up to 60-80°C). This causes the starch in the material to gelatinize and the protein in the material to denature, increasing its natural viscosity and thus bonding the material tightly. 2. Discharging and cutting: The material, forcibly squeezed through the die holes, is extruded from below the die plate, forming continuous cylindrical strips. A rotating cutter, positioned just below the die plate, cuts these strips into pellets of the desired length. 3. **Finished Product Output:** The cut feed pellets are discharged from the outlet and, after cooling and drying, are ready for packaging or storage. Simply put, a flat die pellet machine uses rotating rollers to force moistened powder through a perforated flat die plate. High pressure and frictional heat squeeze the powder into compact, firm pellets.
