Secondly, because of the fast heating speed, even in the atmosphere, the material surface oxidation and decarbonization is very little (such as billet forging heating, for example, with induction heating method, steel oxidation loss can be controlled below 0.05~0.5%, while with combustion furnace heating, oxidation loss generally reaches 2.5~3.0%). So induction heating furnace generally do not need gas protection. The main body of induction heating furnace is only a sensor, this kind of furnace does not need to have complex piping system as the combustion furnace, also does not need to have thick furnace wall as the combustion furnace, resistance furnace, so it can be very compact organization in the production line, and even combined in other processing machinery.
