Featuring a unique oscillating weld bead pattern, it significantly reduces wear in high-velocity abrasive and erosive environments. Fusion-bonded via submerged arc welding (SAW) onto a mild steel backing, the overlay consists of a high-density matrix of chromium carbides, delivering exceptional surface hardness and wear resistance.Key FeaturesSuperior Wear Resistance: High volume of evenly distributed chromium carbides (HRC 58-65) ensures prolonged service life under severe abrasive conditions.Enhanced Toughness: The combination of a ductile steel substrate and a hardfaced layer offers resistance to moderate impact and sliding abrasion.Advanced Cladding Options: Available in standard chromium carbide (CCO) or complex carbide formulations (with Nb, Mo, V, W) for elevated temperature applications (up to 600°C / 1100°F) and higher impact resistance.Customizable Backing Materials: Compatible with Q235, Q345, A36, SS310, NM400, HARDOX450, and other weldable steels.Weld Integrity: Fine micro-cracks perpendicular to the weld direction are typical and result from stress relief in the hardfacing layer.
