It is a smooth, chromium carbide rich overlay plate manufactured by a patented production process maximizing abrasion resistance and reducing hang up.HISAN HS-F smooth plate was developed as an alternative to unpredictable wear rates and high friction characteristics, associated with both - quenched and tempered steel plate and the old technology, often used to manufacture traditional bulk weld overlay plates.Associated costs with unscheduled maintenance or repair are obvious, but more importantly, hidden costs relating to plant and capital productivity losses need to be eliminated wherever possible.HISAN Plate consists of a mild steel base combined with a fully smooth, wear-resistant coating, presenting a steel overlay sheet of superior quality. Its outstanding wear and impact performance is enabled by unique chemical composition; computerized welding technologies, and one of the kind micro structure.Uniform micro-structure and even hardness distribution from top surface down to fusion line* to enable a predictable wear rates.Smooth surface with no weld beads to interrupt material flow or hangup.All our plates are available with a standard smooth finish or a polished finish. The polished finish is particularly effective for combating sticky conditions, offering superior anti-hangup properties suited for abrasive material combined with humid or slurry environment.Chromium carbide composite cladding fusion bonded to a mild steel backing material.The deposit has been realized by means of oscillated welding and a wear resistant coating applied by open arc welding or submerged arc welding.No welding bead, smooth for material conveying. Very high volume of chromium carbides evenly distributed throughout the uniform thickness of the deposit.Plate hardness ranges from HRC58-65.Base material can be Q235, Q345, A36, 310S, NM400, HARDOX450, and all weldable material.HISAN HS-F smooth plate combines a smooth and dense chromium carbide-rich metal alloy face plate with a hard steel back plate to resist gouging, erosion, temperature extremes and material buildup. Installing it on surfaces exposed to abrasive conditions increases protection for longer equipment life with less frequent maintenance.Engineered to withstand the harsh conditions of mining applications, yet versatile enough for a wide range of industries, HISAN HS-F smooth plate offers a solution to both excessive wear and material accumulation issues for chutes, hoppers, dump truck beds, excavator buckets, front -loader shovels, and other bulk material equipment in need of protection. The bi-layer construction is tailored to the thickness, composition, shape and polish specifications of the application. Very low residual stresses enable it to withstand severe impact forces and bending.Surface smoothness, uniform hardness and carbide distribution are critical to overall wear plate performance and its ability to avoid buildup that could lead to clogging and excessive weight. When faced with consistent abrasion, a rough surface finish will experience erosion 200 to 600 % faster than a smooth surface of the same alloy structure and hardness. All grades of plate can be manufactured with finishes rated standard, polished or ultra non-abrasive to avoid material hang-up and carryback.
