Product DescriptionProduct DescriptionFreeze dryers (vacuum freeze dryers) dry materials based on the principle of sublimation: the material is first frozen at low temperatures, then the ice is directly sublimated into water vapor under a vacuum, preserving the material's original composition and form.128 Its core technology system includes:Refrigeration system: A compressor and a throttling device form a circulation system. For example, the liquid refrigerant absorbs heat and vaporizes in the evaporator, then releases heat and condenses in the condenser after compression, achieving a low-temperature environment.Vacuum system: A vacuum pump maintains a vacuum in the drying chamber to promote ice sublimation.PrincipleFreezing: First, the water-containing material to be dried (such as food or medicinal herbs) is rapidly frozen at low temperatures. During this process, water molecules form ice crystals and are evenly distributed throughout the material.Vacuum Environment: The frozen material is placed in a vacuum environment. The low pressure in a vacuum environment allows the ice crystals to sublime directly into water vapor without passing through a liquid phase.Sublimation: In a vacuum environment, ice crystals directly transform into water vapor, a process called sublimation. Due to the vacuum, the water vapor is quickly extracted, preventing concentration and chemical changes in the material.Condensation: To ensure a smooth sublimation process, the freeze dryer has a condensing device, typically a cold trap. The cold trap captures the water vapor that sublimates from the material and recondenses it into ice, thereby maintaining the dry vacuum environment.Drying Completed: After a period of sublimation and condensation, most of the water in the material is removed, resulting in a dry freeze-dried product.
